The University of New Mexico established “SMART,” or Sexual Misconduct and Assault Response Team, as front line campus responders for a range of sex crimes. The team is an evolution of SART, which responded exclusively to sexual assaults.

Bryan E. Brock has been named director of the University of New Mexico Office of Equal Opportunity. Brock has spent much of his career in state government, most recently as the director of the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs at the New Mexico Departm
