The first event in the spring edition of the University of New Mexico’s Lightning Lounge, titled "Life and Death,” is set for Thursday, Feb. 5. Additional spring semester Lightning Lounge events are scheduled for March 19 and April 2. Each will be held at the Faculty-Staff Club from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The Lightning Lounge events are open to all faculty and staff. Snacks will be provided and a cash bar is also available.

The University of New Mexico’s Center for Academic Programs and Support (CAPS), invites students, faculty and staff to participate in the grand opening of the new, CAPS Language and Writing Center. The grand opening is Wednesday, Jan. 14 from 3 to 4 p.m. in Education classrooms 208 and 210 (Building 67), just east of Zimmerman Library.

The Office of the Provost/Academic Affairs has reorganized the department that works directly with members of the University of New Mexico faculty. The Office of Faculty Affairs and Services (OFAS) replaces the Office of Faculty Contracts and Services.
